NDP 2005
today is national day... last night was the second night of the singapore fireworks festival... right after the symphonia concert, i met up with my parents and set towards marina promenade park so as to get a good place to catch a glimpse at the fireworks that night... sat there for 1+ hours and when the fireworks display started, everyone around the area where i'm at realized that the fireworks was at the other side of the marina promenade park... i managed to get a spot to capture some of the fireworks, at least did not waste the trip... today is ndp, too bad i can't watch the whole thing coz got rehearsal at serangoon for violin exam... from what i know from reading some blogs of singaporeans, the show was boring coz it's about the same as the previous years, and the fireworks were actually not as exciting as those shown during the singapore fireworks festival... i suppose i have to agree with that... watching the ndp at a small snack shop in braddell heights community building, i also feel the same way... i realized that the ndp theme song for this year is not very nice to listen to, and i feel that the songs from previous years were much better... probably something to ponder about, just like the short showers during the afternoon... pic of the day: singapore fireworks festival, 8 august 2005, by someone else other than me...
